Ammonites

 

Phlyseogrammoceras sp., Toarcian
(Lower Jurassic)

This specimen measures 68.14 mm at its widest point.

The upper images show the preserved shell material and there is considerable irridescence. The sutures are visible in a few places.

The lower images show (top) an impression of another ammonite in the broken section, and (bottom and right) tiny bivalves embedded in its aperature.
